The training faculty are committed to offering VaLSA candidates the opportunity to visit their institutions as a visiting fellow.  Each institution provides an opportunity for the VaLSA candidate to gain an insight into the clinical pathways, protocols and working relationships that have been developed to address and improve lower limb salvage rates in individual vascular units.

  • Candidates will typically visit one institution only

  • Candidates will liaise with the individual institutions’ VaLSA lead to coordinate the visit

  • The visiting fellowship will typically be 1-2 weeks in duration

  • Candidates will be expected to adhere to the local institution policies*

  • Candidates may be required to demonstrate:

    • Registration with the General Medical Council

    • Appropriate medical indemnity cover

    • Occupational health clearance

  • Opportunities to partake in exposure prone procedures are at the individual institutions discretion

  • Candidates undertaking a visiting fellowship do so at their own expense
