Overview
The University Hospitals of Leicester vascular surgical unit is based at the Glenfield Hospital and is comprised of eight consultant surgeons and 6 consultant interventional radiologists. The unit prides itself on close co-operation between the radiological and surgical staff and embraces the team approach to successful working, training, learning and the treatment of patients both in the elective and emergency setting. The unit has a proven track record of being at the forefront of clinical innovation and excellence pioneering techniques such as sub-intimal angioplasty. The team is committed to offer a 1-2 week visiting fellowship to VaLSA candidates tailored to their individual training requirements and interests.

Glenfield Hospital is situated about three miles north west of Leicester city centre.

By Car: Traffic congestion in Leicester is increasing. If you are travelling by car you may need to allow extra time for your journey as queuing can occur at peak times. The Leicester City Council provides various information about roadworks and traffic within Leicester.

By Train: The railway station in Leicester is on London Road, near to the centre of the city. 
Our hospital Hopper bus service departs from outside Leicester Railway Station every 30 minutes throughout the day Monday to Friday.
