Overview

The Bristol Bath Weston Vascular Network is based at the North Bristol NHS Trust. It is comprised of  a team of 10 consultant vascular surgeons and five consultant interventional radiologists. The unit has clinical expertise and academic research in peripheral artery disease and the diabetic foot. It provides complex open and endovascular revascularisation techniques for limb salvage and has a particular interest in the management of infected vascular reconstructions. Vascular surgeons in the unit provide rapid access clinics for the management of patients with diabetic foot disease and chronic limb threatening ischaemia. It led the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) for diabetic foot care in Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire. The team provide a 1-2 week visiting fellowship to VaLSA candidates focussed on their individual interests and training requirements.
