Overview
The University Hospitals of Leicester vascular surgical unit is based at the Glenfield Hospital and is comprised of eight consultant surgeons and 6 consultant interventional radiologists. The unit prides itself on close co-operation between the radiological and surgical staff and embraces the team approach to successful working, training, learning and the treatment of patients both in the elective and emergency setting. The unit has a proven track record of being at the forefront of clinical innovation and excellence pioneering techniques such as sub-intimal angioplasty. The team is committed to offer a 1-2 week visiting fellowship to VaLSA candidates tailored to their individual training requirements and interests.

Glenfield Hospital is situated about three miles north west of Leicester city centre.
